Scrapbooking does not have to cost a fortune. With careful planning and shopping, you can create beautiful pages for very little money. Here's how:
Do not try to save money by using acid-free document. acid paper will ruin your pictures after a few years and simply not worth the worth saving.
Never pull your scrapbook. Scraps can always be used in another project.
Know what you have. You do not want to run to the store and pay full price for yellow fibers when you already have some buried in hiding somewhere.
Avoid letters only stickers. Stickers alphabet can be costly. Instead try to make hand print letters or cards from the computer. Buying a template instead of letters is also economic in the long term.
Trade with your friend. What is the age she is new to you.
Make your own decorations. Serendipity Squares, bottle caps, labels and shakers are expensive to buy but cheap to make.
Do not buy the books and magazines. The Internet is full of guidelines, procedures and inspiration. And, you can not find on the Internet, is available in the library.
You do not need to need buy every new bid or a tool that hits the market. All you need is a good pair of scissors, a kind of tape, drawing paper, construction paper, templates and a pair of hits. Everything else is gravy.
Scrap with a friend. This doubles the number of tools available.
Check out their local dollar store. Mine has been wonderful, but cheap, parchment packets, printed papers, scissors luxury, hits, stickers, rubber stamps and acid free glue sticks. All these products would cost at least 50% more in a scrapbooking store.
Target has a very reasonable price packages of paper with drawings and cards.
Consider buying eBay. I often on large lots of used products. The price is very good and gives me a wide mix of things. The last lot had invented scissors, papers, cards, letter templates, shape templates and stickers. All for around $ 16.00 dollars, including shipping.
